What the directory does
Man Stuff publishes searchable records assembled from public or approved datasets. The directory helps users locate possible providers, understand what information may need checking and submit corrections. A listing is not a recommendation, accreditation, current-availability promise or proof that a provider is suitable for a particular user.
Man Stuff is a research starting point, not an endorsement. Regulation varies by service and country; confirm material facts directly before paying, booking or sharing sensitive information. That limitation is deliberately repeated near decision-making content so users do not confuse database presence with independent verification.
Data sources and freshness
The public configuration names source categories without exposing internal acquisition details or sensitive records. A source may be authoritative for one field and silent on another. Company information, for example, may establish a filed legal identity but not service quality. Place data may locate a business but can become stale after relocation or closure.
We therefore provide correction and claim routes. Corrections are reviewed against source history; they are not accepted merely because a requester prefers different wording. Claimed profiles and paid enhancements must remain distinguishable from regulator checks and editorial material.
Editorial method
Guides are written to help users compare the same dimensions across a shortlist: identity, scope, competence or status where relevant, total cost, responsibilities, cancellation and complaint routes. They avoid naming a provider as best and avoid promises that a directory cannot substantiate.
Primary links are selected for relevance to UK users and point to regulators, government services or other authoritative organisations. Users should select the source for the correct nation and service. Links and legal frameworks can change, so the date above records the latest editorial review rather than guaranteeing permanent currency.
Commercial separation
Every supported factual listing detail, claim and correction remains free. The only paid Directory product is clearly labelled sponsored placement, which does not convert a listing into an endorsement or override relevance and quality controls. Advertising remains approval-gated and loads only after visitor consent.
Editorial guides do not contain disguised ads. When advertising is later enabled, it must remain labelled and must not be placed on correction, claim, contact, privacy, terms or other low-content workflow pages.
Corrections, claims and contact
If a public record is inaccurate, use the correction form and identify the listing and evidence. Business owners can use the separate claim route. General data, privacy and support questions can use the contact page.
