Silver Pierced Round Dish on Four Feet

A silver dish with a pierced and shaped gallery of scrolling foliate design, the undulating upper border adding lightness and movement to the piece. The dish sits within a separate stand of four slender splayed legs joined by arched stretchers, itself a fine piece of silversmithing that elevates the whole into something closer to a centrepiece than a serving dish. An elegant and practical piece of Edwardian silver, the openwork gallery catching the light with considerable decorative effect.
