Silver Dog Head Dish

A silver dish in the form of a dog's head, the fur rendered with remarkable naturalism and fine engraved detail. The soulful expression is captured with considerable skill, the piece functioning as a small dish or pin tray whilst remaining, above all, a delightful work of the silversmith's art. Hallmarked London 1932, this is a charming example of the novelty silver that the period produced with such wit and craftsmanship, an irresistible piece for the dog lover and silver collector alike.
