Bourton is our iconic men’s country shoe. These handmade shoes are a piece of Tricker's Northampton shoemaking history, and yet today they are the go-to shoe for men all around the world. The Bourton is unmistakable - a heavy Derby shoe that bears the brogue detailing synonymous with true country shoes. A half bellows tongue is folded and attached to the shoe to provide a watertight seal, and the storm welt provides an additional watertight seal between the shoe's upper and sole. The profile of a Bourton is characteristically strong. The Description The Leather A heavily weatherproofed upper which should hold up in the harshest of weather conditions. Made in Germany fom the Heinen Tannery (since 1891) the leather is hydrophobic which can meet all the technical requirements placed on the various types of shoes & boots. Need more help? The size (length fitting) of Tricker’s footwear made on this last (4444) is larger than a regular UK size by half a size. If you are unsure of your UK size, use our size guide to convert your known size to a UK size. Then take off half a size. So if you normally take a UK size 8 (equivalent to US size 9, Japan size 27 and EU size 42), we recommend you order a size 7½ and so on. Need more help?
