Aromatics in White Eau De Parfum Spray

Aromatics in White is a pretty and intense fragrance. There's surprising dimension in white—pure and refined, yet, aglow with warmth. I wanted to treat myself to some new perfume and purchased Aromatics in White alongside Aromatics in Black ( see other review ) as they were on sale on my John Lewis app. I did go to my nearest store and was provided with two separate sample cards of each which I took home. I decided I really liked both and as I'd been gifted some money I ordered both on line - collecting from my nearest collection point. As much as I like both fragrances, I can't recommend and I'd not repurchase - as even at a sale price they are considered purchases -but the fragrance doesn't last. Both are gone within a few hours. Completely contrary to my experience of other Clinique perfumes such as Happy and Aromatics. The sample card aromas lasted well over a week. Is it possible Clinique testers in store contain a more concentrated version of perfume? this is my fav out of the 3 Elixir scents! I have been using Clinique's original Aromatics for thirty years and am also a fan of the 'My Happy' range. I tried Aromatics White in a store and loved the fragrance, so I asked for some as a gift. Unfortunately, it has been a real disappointment: no matter how lavishly I apply it, the fragrance doesn't last and is all but undetectable by the time I leave the house in the morning. I am now effectively using it as a very expensive body spray, and having to layer it with other perfumes. Clinique- you know how to make perfumes that last: what went wrong here? You always knew if she'd been in a room or not. I took it on after she passed. I received the white edition today, and honestly i'm in love. I find it a lighter fragrance but with a powerful punch just like the original. So whilst paying homage to my mum this will now become my scent I've been wearing this beautiful perfume for a few years now after only ever wearing elixir. I adore it. It's incredibly subtle and people always comment on it. I would love the body lotion to be more available rather than just in a gift set though as that's also gorgeous. I received this lovely fragrance as a birthday gift and have absolutely loved wearing it each time I put it on! It is such a beautiful smell that I really feel 'lifted' in mind and body each time I use it. Such a wonderful twist / addition to the legendary Aromatics range! This was first clinique fragrance I got. Its not good I can say. Got my sample in Florida mall. Loved it. Went to buy in Macy's Indian river mall and they hadn't heard of it yet. Will definitely buy when I'm back in uk. So many people comment on it when wearing it. Sadly sample nearly gone!!! Received a sample with my order. Never sampled Clinique perfume before so was excited to receive it. Honestly, I'm disappointed. I personally thought it smelt cheap and like talc. Not a perfume I would ever wear. Only good thing I can say about it is the fact that it's hours later and I can still smell it - a positive if you like the smell. Having been a fan of Clinique Aromatics - my favorite - and "Happy" for many years, reading the reviews of other longtime fans I fully believed I would also love Aromatics in White. I'm sorry to say I really don't! Other than the fragrance lasting all day (it does) I can't say I agree with anything any one else has written. It's not awful but I wouldn't have bought it had I smelt it first.....My very first thought on the first spray was "Ooh, it smells a little cheap". It's quite floral at first, (definitely rose), which thankfully softens to a scent with more amber-like warmth but, it has a too-strong hint of vanilla (which always reminds me of candles or the body sprays everyone smelt of 10 years ago!). I hate to say it but it also reminds me a little of Talc.....
