Comments about Aromatics Elixir™ Eau de Toilette - 45 ml I've worn Aromatics Elixir for over 50 years and every time I used to wear it I'd get compliments on how beautiful the scent was but in the last year or so the scent has sadly been changed and it doesn't last hours like it used to either unfortunately. Loyal clients like myself are all very disappointed in this scent change and we all ask WHY has Clinique "thrown the baby out with the bath water"!? Product development please note! Please bring back our original favourite Aromatics Elixir scent if you want to retain your client base and gain more clients! Thank you. I used this fragrance for years, but then noticed the smell was changing very quickly on me - I thought it was my skin, but not until I read the Reviews, I have noticed many people are saying the same thing. What have you done to it, I used to get so many compliments when wearing it now. I don't use anymore so have a wasted bottle. It smells like it has gone off when wearing it for a couple of hours. Before it lasted all day, smelling good. So sad ! :( Every time I wear it someone tells me I smell gorgeous!! I purchased and scent changed contact clinique & they said it because I never purchase from authorised dealer. Friend purchased from authorised dealer and smells the same - since discovered that you have removed ingredient and it's lost it's gorgeous original scent smells awful now lucky it lasts for 10 mins. Used for 30+ years RIP Aromatictyou are missed I thought it was me! I thought there was something wrong with my nose! But after reading the reviews on the Aromatics perfume, I realise I am not wrong! People used to stop me and ask me what perfume I was wearing. Not any longer. The smell is awful. I have today visited the Clinique consession and mentioned the smell and the assistant was unable to help me or give an explanation. Unfortunately I don't have the receipt so unable to exchange. What an absolute waste of money. I'm so disappointed as I have worn this for years. I have used this this particular product for 20+ years. Like other people have mentioned I have always had compliments on it and asked what I am wearing from both men and women but realised that people have stopped commenting and I can no longer smell it in my wardrobe like I used to. After the reviews I've read I can see now that there's definitely been a change, this surely shouldn't be being sold under the same name, what a shame though, I struggle to find perfumes that suit me as many give me migraines and although this was a long lasting fragrance it was fine and I know many others who went on to buy after smelling it on me. I understand that trends change and unfortunate if an item is discontinued but to think you're using the same item and realise you are not, well that's just not right. I also have worn this beautiful perfume for many years and have recently purchased a new one as my old one ran out. Sadly it is not the same, before I was complimented continually on it and recommended it to everyone. It used to last ages but now not one person has mentioned it when I wear it, and it hardly lasts any length at all. I have been happily wearing this gorgeous perfume for many many years. This has been my signature scent, recognised by my family and friends and now I really don't know how to express my dissatisfaction and disappointment with the NEW TERRIBLE aromatic scent 🤢 I had read a few reviews about the change but it wasn't until I made my next purchase that I discovered to my horror that this is just an intruder and nothing like the original classic. WHY OH WHY did you think it was a good idea to change a favourite, much loved and fabulous perfume. I'm actually at a loss for ideas on what I'm going to be using in the future. I have worn this perfume for over 10 years now - During that time I have walked into many places and both Men and Women alike (mostly Men) have asked me what scent I am wearing. It is my fragrance stable and I feel confident every time i wear it. I received this as a free gift. It came in a pretty little box and the bottle was very sophisticated looking. However, I did not like the heavy smell. It unfortunately was overwhelmingly strong. I offered it to my teenage daughter who turned it down. I then offered it to my ten year old for 'dressing up play' - she also said she did not like it, "thank you though mummy". This will suit somebody I have no doubt as it is good quality and the smell lingers all day.
