All About Shadow™ Primer For Eyes preps lids for improved shadow application and wear. Creates a neutral base that helps hold eye shadow colour quality in place for up to 12 hours. Can be worn alone for a natural yet perfected look. Primer for eye shadow helps prevent creasing and fading. It is smooth and creamy, but I don't like the applicator, I feel it will be wasteful. For years I always used touch base and preferred that, I have tried other things since you stopped making touch base, but nothing is as good. I wish you would bring it back. I don't like the natural colour of my eyelids so I wear this on its own when I want a 'no makeup' look. It's matte but it really brightens my eyes & I love it. Sorry I can't give it 5 stars though as it still sits in the creases. Will definitely buy again & I'd love it if you brought out more eye shadows in this format. I have 2 of these primers now, hoping that the first one was just a fluke. I bought the first one because Touch Base for Eyes (excellent eye base) was no longer available. Firstly the product is not mixed in the tube, so the oily / liquid part sits at the top, with the more solid part of the product separated lower in the tube. It's impossible to mix it with the applicator, so even from new, the consistency is incorrect. Eventually, at least a third of the product turns solid and sits at the top where the applicator cannot reach and also at the bottom for the same reason. There seems to be so many bad reviews which you respond with "contact us" but what do you do? Come on Clinique, do SOMETHING about this awful product! It needs to be fully redesigned or just discontinued. Stop robbing your customers! I used this years ago and it was brilliant.The one I bought a few months ago is watery and the foam tip has completely disintegrated. For Clinique you expect and deserve quality, but I'm not going to bother with any of their products from now on. Not worth the money. I love this product, it really helps to keep your eye makeup in place. But, it needs to be in a pallet that you can dab with your finger or a brush. Because the silly little dip stick tube doesn't work! All the product gathers at either end and you can't get to it as the sponge on a stick just scrapes the middle section. Very frustrating! Love the product , hate the packaging. Gives a lovely base or great to wear on its own so thought I'd solved my search for a natural looking day time product. However it's impossible to use all the liquid due to the applicator not reaching the bottom of the tube and even when always kept in a standing position the liquid stays around the edge and at top of tube. So disappointing. Clinique you need to look at how you package products , unfortunately until then I will not be buying again as wastage makes it a very expensive item. Thanks so much for your honest review Sandra, we will pass your comments about the packaging onto the team I used to buy the old pallet style primer, I'll be honest I bought it for the slight colour it gave and often wore alone. It absolutely did dry out and often I'd replace before I needed to because of this. Wasteful. Last time I bought it the packaging had changed. I use it every day. I dab the applicator onto my lid and then use a wide shadow brush to blend it onto my full lid up to the brow. It smooths and prepares my lid, ensuring excess oils are tackled. It evens the colour on my lid a little too. It's a silky, fine finish and I love it. I use shadow on my lid after and it stays put. Does the job. I've come back to reorder because I've just ran down, scraping the applicator around the tube to get the last bits from the tube - no waste for me. It's a win. Have used this product before and loved it, read reviews and knew packaging had changed but thought I would try it. Used it once and experienced a bad allergic reaction.
